''Hope is a great thing, but results can be miraculous''

Acupuncture originates from China and has been practiced there for thousands of years. Although there are records of acupuncture being used hundreds of years ago in Europe, it was during the second half of the twentieth century it began to spread rapidly in Western Europe, the United States and Canada.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through the patient's skin at specific points on the body - the needles are inserted to various depths and recent research does show therapeutic health benefits, including pain relief and alleviation from nausea caused by chemotherapy.

According to WHO (World Health Organization) acupuncture is effective for treating 28 conditions, while evidence indicates it may have an effective therapeutic value for many more. People with tension headaches and/or migraines may find acupuncture to be very effective in alleviating their symptoms, according to a study carried out at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.

Another study at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Centre found that twice weekly acupuncture treatments relieve debilitating symptoms among patients treated with radiation for head and neck cancer.

Acupuncture is increasingly being recognised as an alternative form of conception treatment in clinical practice. The practice of acupuncture dates back thousands of years in China and is still part of the routine medicine given to patients alongside modern medical treatments. While acupuncture is known to be effective in treating a variety of ailments from pain management of chronic conditions, there is an increase in studies showing benefits for those experiencing infertility.

Acupuncture is also very effective for balancing hormones especially when you have erratic or painful periods, as well as during menopause.

Michelle and her team have undergone at least 4 years of full time university study Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture and are qualified in all aspects of acupuncture treatment that include pain management for Back, Migraine, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sports Injuries and general health.
